Passing


Step 1


Place your feet flat on the ground and spread equally apart. Stand stationary, with your knees slightly bent and your weight slightly forward.


Step 2


Extend your arms straight out with your palms facing up. Place one hand overlapping the other and press your thumbs side by side. This should bring your wrists and forearms close, but not quite touching.


Step 3


Lock your elbows and tilt your forearms toward the ball when it comes in your direction.


Step 4


Allow the ball to bounce off of your forearms. If you need to give the ball more of a boost, push a little with your legs. Aim for the ball to go high and about two feet from the net for the setter to hit. If you are aiming for the ball to go over the net, aim high and for a spot on the other side of the net.
